kinda strange to be doing victory laps over 44% approval. for most modern presidents that's when they are in a down trend.

trump got a nice boost this week with his RCP average ( most likely thanks to the SOTU ), but he still has yet to crack 50%.

If I recall correctly, some projected low-mid 20s by now (or within 6 months) Yet here we are nearly 3 years in with the forecasters trying to explain away his popularity with explanations like “SOTU bump”. Bahahaha

Face it. Trump is a real thing. MUCH more popular than his detractors and media would lead you to believe...more liked than when he spanked the best career politician Dems could provide.

Now what? Any sure fire competition on the horizon? Terribly dysfunctional party.

There will be a million more “Trump’s done” threads/comments yet when I check back in 6 months I bet he’ll be at ~40%+. Yawn.

I’m sorry/not sorry.

Better hurry up with some political nuclear bombs because this dude is for real.

Polls being unreliable is good for Trump because one says his favorability ratings are decent. That's some interesting "logic" you've got working there.

If the crook, Trump, wins again. I’ll have to start thinking about moving to Canada. I hate what “Humpety Trumpety” is doing to our nation, with his wall. Maybe he’ll have a great fall. And all Putin’s horses and all Putin’s men won’t be able to put him together again!

Please. Sixty-six percent of the country is against this boner emergency move of Trump's. Does not bode well for Trump's polling average (except, of course, the conservatives' best friend, Rassmussen). It is sad that there is is the only poll Trump and the base can use. Yeah, yeah--they were right once. They are graded "C".

Bubble time.

Just chomping at the bit to see who the Dems cough up for a candidate. Only chance of beating Trump is to come up with a more centralist liberal ala Bill Clinton. Other left wing nut jobs are just going to alienate most Americans. I'll have my popcorn ready!

Those stats are about as believable as the ones that predicted a landslide for Hillary. 66%? That's laughable...Trump went out to do what he said he'd do. No surprises here. Seriously doubt a good chunk of his constituents balked at this move. This defies logic. Sorry.

Of course, Trump got the votes of the racists, low IQ individuals, misoginists, clueless, selfish, redneck types. Guess there are many more of these than I ever knew. But then Trump only beat Hillary by 77,000 votes. In 4 years, by 2020, many more young people will have registered. More women than ever before want a better candidate than Trumpkins. Those of us who realize a Russian agent when we see one will vote against him. Hispanics and Blacks galore want him gone. That sure adds up to more than enough people to beat this Putin suck up.

you perpetually love cherry picking rasmussen while ignoring the RCP average. happy to point it out:

trump feb 19, 2019 43.4 approve / 53.4 disapprove rating: -10
obama feb 19, 2011 48.8 approve / 45.3 disapprove rating: +3.5

obama was 13.5 points higher than trump at the same point in his presidency.
