Yep, they wake every day to make up lies about Trump and investigate fake crimes and he keeps winning....so incredibly impressive. He's going to win 2020 in a Yuge landslide.

where are you finding 48%?????

Never mind Rasmeussen -- lol.

His average approval rating from all polls is 41 percent.

If you want to win with that -- enjoy.

Default Trump back to 49%

Since the State of The Union speech, Rasmussen shows that Trump's approval has moved back up.
Among likely voters, his approval is at 49%, with 50% disapproving. Rasmussen is the only poll shown who uses likely voters. All other polls on this page use registered voters or adults.
During the shutdown, Rasmussen measured Trump's approval as low as 43%, with 55% disapproving.

He'll blow it soon enough. I have perfect faith in him.

Rasmussen calls land lines. The only people who still have landlines are seniors. So Rasmussen basically polls Trump supporters. And even then, he can't get over 50%.

The SOTU was a great boost for Trump, but the real test will be how he performs in the coming weeks and months. He tends to fall into the traps laid out for him by democrats a bit too easily.

If Trump took more of a compassionate conservative yet strong approach to deal making, he would be a far greater threat to Democrats. The reason independents overwhelmingly loved his SOTU was because he appeared compassionate and showed some soul... shocker, real people like presidents who act like human beings. If he could keep that going, his chance of reelection would go up dramatically, IMO.

Huh?

Trump's approval and disapproval haven't changed much since Jan 10, when it took a dive and stayed there. As of Feb 7, the average of all polls from RCP shows approval at 40.9%, disapproval at 55.4%.

But as his history has shown he is just not capable of acting presidential for more than a few days tops.

I'm not a fan of Trump and even I think it was a good speech for Trump, but I know that anything he says is likely to change the next day so I won't put too much faith in him actually sticking to what he said in the SOTU.
