You need to check what the filial responsibility laws are in the state where your parents live. Not all of them are equivalent.

I did some reading, and it sounds like if they live in Pennsylvania, then nursing homes can sue, and you're screwed. Other states have very specific conditions for meeting filial responsibility that likely would not apply to you.

Well since the child support laws are so effective..........


ethical and moral obligations cannot be replaced by legislated law.....
