Democrats can now win Florida without the Cuban American vote. Moreover, younger Cuban voters are no longer solidly Republican. Those days are over.
And no...internecine Cuban affairs ARE NOT our business. We can make suggestions at best, but our job is to be an example of what a Jeffersonian democracy looks like. It ain't our job to impose it.
Hobby Lobby had nothing to do with this, that was relative to a private business offering birth control to employees.
The rationale behind the SCOTUS Hobby Lobby decision has EVERYTHING to do with it. The Federal Government cannot take any action that substantially burdens the exercise of religion unless that action constitutes the least restrictive means of serving a compelling government interest. Why should any less be true in any of the states?
I don't expect any straight answers: hypocrisy is a tough box to argue your way out of.
