Aubrey De Grey says that it won't be long before people can live 1,000 plus years and be physically young, thanks to gene therapy and other remedies. Are you ready?

Not forever. But long enough until I get bored of earth.

I'd probably want to take the youth pills and then one day ride a motorcycle off a high cliff to meet my end. Probably around my husband's time.

Hell no. One normal human lifetime is enough for me. 1000 years? Who in the hell wants to hang around here THAT long?

That's nuts.

People don't realize that what makes life special in the first place is the infinitesimal chance of your birth and the brevity of your life once you get here. You hold things and people dear because they have a shelf life...

And when they're gone, they're gone forever. They ain't coming back and you'll never see them again. Take that away, and the very essence of our existence takes on a new meaning...a meaning that is extremely un-human.

Our lives are predicated on an ephemeral existence. That's how it should be.

I agree. Not only your family, but all your friends and anyone that could relate to your experience...

Not to mention, the gov't would then raise the SS age to 215 and you would have to keep working for another 180 years...

The world is overpopulated anyway...enjoy your time here and then move on.
