Obama said he would transform America. Doubling muslim immigrants and having an open border is transforming America.

The main reason why America enables Muslim immigration (which isn't really large scale in any way) is because a significant number of US allies are Muslim and a significant number of investors are oil rich Muslim states. Private Equity and Venture Capital firms in the US have raised billions from wealthy oil sheikhs and have invested in all kinds of startups that you probably heard of. Furthermore, the oil rich Gulf states have also invested in treasuries and are adamant supporters of the petrodollar. Being Islamophobic and restricting Islamic immigration would anger these states and individuals and would cause serious reputational damage to the US. There is a reason why all Establishment politicians ignore Islamophobic political activists. The US can't have its cake and eat it too but apparently these activists (Trump supporters and the Tea Party) think they can have the petrodollar and associated investments and be Islamophobic.
