If anything, it sounds like we need more immigrants, just to balance out the rates caused by the homegrown americanos shooting each other

Probably because there are a lot of white Americans in those safe cities to offset the crime. You can't really compare Jackson Heights to Chelsea. Illegals break the law at a rate of 100%.

Define "patriotic" and "all american" so we can better understand your straw man.

Queens is 48% foreign born and had a rate of about 2.5/100k murders last year, even lower than the city average and more on track with the crime rates in Canada and Western Europe as opposed to major American urban centers. The white Americans can only do so much to bring down the crime rate when half of the entire borough is foreign born

San Diego and Los Angeles are very close to the border so I would assume they have quite a bit of illegal aliens as you say, somehow their crime rates are still low compared to the other urban centers

Immigrants? Illegal or legal?

I'd love to see the statistics on how legal immigrants actually commit more crimes.

There's your answer.

How do such poor people pay coyotes?

Recommend the book, "Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic" by Sam Quinones.

"...acclaimed journalist Sam Quinones weaves together two classic tales of capitalism run amok whose unintentional collision has been catastrophic. The unfettered prescribing of pain medications during the 1990s reached its peak in Purdue Pharma’s campaign to market OxyContin, its new, expensive--extremely addictive--miracle painkiller. Meanwhile, a massive influx of black tar heroin--cheap, potent, and originating from one small county on Mexico’s west coast, independent of any drug cartel--assaulted small town and mid-sized cities across the country, driven by a brilliant, almost unbeatable marketing and distribution system. Together these phenomena continue to lay waste to communities from Tennessee to Oregon, Indiana to New Mexico."

So lets just totally pitch-in any and all controls on immigration, legal and illegal.

Might as well, we are 3/4 of the way there.
