GOP talks out both sides of its mouth. Won't confirm Obama's pick for Supreme Court. Says it's best for voters to decide. But GOP is using rules to prevent the voters from picking their nominee for President.

Picture says it all.....

First of all, the topic isn't about me. Second, I voted 3rd party in 2012 when I found both parties to have nominated two unacceptable candidates.

If anything, this hypocrisy by the GOP "elite" should be clear enough demonstration as to why everyone should give up on voting by party.

Too bad you didn't catch that.

The fact that they've claimed to favor less government as well as less government spending for years while growing government and spending like drunken sailors whenever it suited their agenda made that hypocrisy glaringly obvious long before this election cycle. Should have been fair warning to anyone choosing to play in their arena.

Voting does no good these days. And it's not just Republicans. Democrats: explain how Bernie gets more votes but Hillary gets more delegates.

No, on second thought, don't bother to explain. I'm not remotely interested.

First, "the GOP" didn't decide anything. The Colorado GOP decided how their delegates would be awarded, last year, just like every state party has the right to do. That's why some states have primary elections, while others have caucuses, etc. Each state party gets to decide for themselves how they want to do it.

Your picture shows a quote from Sen. Tom Cotton - he's from Arkansas. What on Earth does he have to do with Colorado?

I agree it's odd and I'm not much of a fan of that decision but it's their party so it's their call.

If Colorado Republicans are unhappy, they should work to change the leadership of their party.

Sounds as if you are splitting hairs.

Nope. I'm accurately describing the reality of the situation.

"The GOP" would seem to imply national level scope, bolstered by your choice to use a quote from a Republican Senator from Arkansas and references to GOP members in the entirety of Congress.

The fact is those people had nothing to do with this - the STATE level GOP leadership made the decision. Just like all states are free to do.
