Well, in August 2007, she officially announced that she was going to run for Congress as an independent against Nancy Pelosi. In December 2007 she opened up a campaign headquarters in San Francisco. So it's fair to say you will probably be hearing about her again in the not too distant future.
Actually, she announced her "retirement" from protesting a while back. Remember? She read that dramatic crap about how her country failed her and now the burden is on us because she cannot bear it alone and we failed her, or something like that.
I even empathized for her at one point, but that speech did her a disservice.

The adminstration's one trick-pony policy of focusing on the ill-planned war in Iraq while ignoring domestic issues has allowed the economy to become the Number One issue in the public's mind, Number One's the one that gets the ink.
Sheehan had Democratic Party support for awhile, and when she felt they were no longer in her corner she determined she had been betrayed. Life moves on for Sheehan and everyone else, and now she will attempt to unseat Pelosi.
I'm anxiously waiting for her layout in Playboy's "The Girls of the Anti-War Movement" pictoral.
