When ISIS deploys the religious police in Raqqa and arrests and jails people for un-islamic appearance, everybody jumps to the defense of Islam. This is not the "real" Islam. How many times even Obama has said this. It turns out thousands of miles away in a country who does not speak Arabic and has no cultural connection with Syrians does exactly the same thing, and even worse. Hmm, what is the connection, I wonder? Are we to believe that Iranians too are not practicing Islam? Are Obama and Clooney now the arbiter of what is the real Islam?

Iran has deployed a 7,000-strong undercover vice squad patrolling Tehran's streets

Iranian police have established a vast network of thousands of undercover officers tasked with reporting on moral violations in the Islamic Republic’s capital, Tehran’s police chief said on Monday. Some 7,000 vice agents have been deployed to Tehran’s streets to tackle sub-standard veiling by women as well as crimes such as anti-social behavior,

No, that's standard Islam for you. It's a 7th century political system cloaked as a religion. Those 7000 "agents can barely wipe their behinds with their left hand, so they're given those pathetic jobs.

Clooney married an Arab-maybe that makes him feel more liberal than anybody else. IDK

Islam is a governmental system, code of behavior, legal system, oppressive philosophy, and a religion all in one. Some elements of Islam are healthy including prayer, helping the poor, fair dealings. But the oppressive nature that is part of islam makes it compatible with any other religion or no religion, it demands adherence by all...this is the part that makes it a cancer....if they could throw away the cancerous portion, maybe the rest could be salvageable.

In the west we believe in the silly notion of separation of church and state. Separation of church and state is an admission that your religion and your holy book could be wrong. Muslims are not so wishy-washy.

Not all of our Christians are wishy washy either. constant claims that our nation is founded upon Christianity, efforts that added under god to our pledge of allegiance, and recently a state making pornography a public health issue. And a presidential candidate (Cruz) who has quite clearly made it apparent that Christianity will be a major part of his presidency.

In fact, speaking of the pledge...Cruz's campaign website he touts among his accomplishments as solicitor general of Texas that he fought for the “constitutionality of the Ten Commandments monument at the Texas State Capitol and the words ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance.”

Yeah. Religious wars tend to be the worst.

Look, believe what you wanna believe about Islam. Why are you guys always making threads in an attempt to get people to defend Islam so that you can shoot it down and get others to agree with you. Then you'll feel better about yourselves.

You hate Islam. Great. What do you want us to do or say about it? No one cares, and Muslims aren't going anywhere.

Move on.

Are ISIS and Iran insane and immoral? YES
Is the Quran and Islam insane and immoral? NO

Our holy book the Bible is much more violent than the Quran/Islam, and you can't blame ISIS's and Iran's behavior on Islam or the Quran.

‘Scientific’ Claim: Christian Bible More ‘Bloodthirsty’ than Quran | raymondibrahim.com
'Violence more common' in Bible than Quran, text analysis reveals | Books | Culture | The Independent

To blame the Quran/Islam for ISIS's and Iran's behavior, is like blaming the New Testament for past Catholic Popes that tortured and killed millions of people.

Do people blame the New Testament for Catholic Popes torturing and killing millions of people?

There is nothing to be misunderstood - - - -
ISLAM has been at war with America from the beginning.
= = = = = =
“We took the liberty to make some enquiries concerning the ground of their pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The Ambassador [of Tripoli] answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
- - - Thomas Jefferson, Letter from the commissioners (John Adams, Thomas Jefferson) to John Jay, 28 March 1786, in Thomas Jefferson Travels: Selected Writings, 1784-1789, by Anthony Brandt, pp. 104-105.
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Thomas_Jefferson

(Digest version : We consider all mankind as our friends. Their response : It is their right and duty to make war upon all infidels, and make slaves of all they could take as prisoners.)

= = = = = =
“The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force.”
- - - John Quincy Adams, 6th American President
https://www.apologeticspress.org/apc...7&article=1142

(Digest version : Koran imposes perpetual war against infidels. Convert, dhimmi, or die... no other option.)

= = = = = = =

It is a violation of American law to advocate the overthrow of America's government - which is exactly what ISLAM teaches.
"The Smith Act"
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2385

If the law was enforced, it would effectively ban Islam, close all Mosques, deport or prosecute Muslims, and prosecute or impeach sympathizers.
