1- I am pretty sure there's 100+ threads about this already.
2- I don't think it's a secret that the democratic party was once for slavery and the republicans were the anti-slavery party.
3- I'm not sure of the agenda of your post - but I can almost assure you, you will not sway one voter from one side to the other.
4- Watch how quickly liberals explain how the democrats and republicans have reversed roles and/or have changed/evolved since the days of slavery.

I was in high school during the early sixties, and we did indeed talk about it, since it was live news for us.
forgiveness is restricted to the democrat party which is no more as it is the socialist party using the shell of the former democrat party.
