It really bothers me when politicians lie about something they didn't need to lie about. It makes it feel like "practice" for after they get into office and then the real lying starts. But then when caught, they say something even more stupid.
Katie McGinty is running for the Senate in Pennsylvania. She tells everybody she's the first one in her family to graduate from college. Is that REALLY worth lying about? I mean, seriously, so what if she wasn't the first in her family to graduate? She says this over and over while campaigning so somebody decided to check. As it turns out, her brother graduated from La Salle University with a 4 year degree, 8 years before she even began to matriculate at St Joseph's University. He then went on to get his Masters at Temple.
But, are you ready for this?
When confronted, she compounds her lie by claiming her brother's 4 year degree (remember he also has a masters) doesn't count because he got two years of his credits for a 4 year degree at a community college. So now, in addition to getting caught about lying over something she didn't have to lie about to begin with, she insults potential voters who do/did their first two years of a 4 year degree at a community college.

Yep. As I have come to realize over the last eight years, they are all liars, interested only in protecting their well-financed kingdom. American citizens come last.

Truth is: none of what they promise is achieved by one person- if the counsel is in disagreement it can't happen-( see Obama and congress) - so they all lie -- they can attempt to sway their peers to achieve a goal BUT-- reps n dems don't play well together

Oh boy; were intelligence the decisive imperative, you could use both houses for the warehousing of Walmart stuff.
We'd certainly be better off if they did, and it would certainly carry over to returning states rights.
While at it, they should replace the congressional cafeteria with an IN and Out Burger. At least something would be honest on the Hill for once.
