Senate Republicans rejected a bill that aims to stop suspected terrorists from legally buying guns, on Thursday. The vote came a day after at least 14 people were killed during the San Bernardino massacre in California by two suspects, including a woman said to have pledged allegiance to ISIS.
I don't know who's worse the GOP or the terrorists. Both are crazier than a sh^thouse rat.
Do you know WHY they blocked it? Because a lot of people end up on that list that have nothing to do with terrorism. Ted Kennedy was once on that list. And if you are put on that list it's very difficult to get removed from it.
Fix that problem and the GOP will happily approve it.
So you want to take away someones constitutional rights just because they were put on a list with no due process, and on a list that there is no formal way to be removed from either as far as I know?
This is nothing more than an attempt to divide people by creating what seems like a logical choice which makes you a horrible person if you don't immediately agree with it.
In reality its nothing more than an ill-thought out "solution" that doesn't take into the realities that the no fly list is not exactly a fair tool/process in itself.

If the Dems would have agreed to a provision in the bill to have a remedy in place to get your name off of any list that you didn't belong on it would have passed but they didn't want that. Why didn't they want that? Do you support guilty by bureaucratic decree? Seems so.

No, but as with sex offenders, their names and addresses should be a matter of public knowledge. Some of them might be harassed and intimidated, or worse, but given the actions of a vicious group with whom they've deliberately chosen to affiliate and sympathize, they'll only be getting their just desserts.
Known Axis sympathizers were quickly identified at the onset of World War II; in the 20/20 vision of hindsight, we now recognize that a lot of loyal Americans also fell under suspicion, and that due to cultural differences, Japanese-Americans paid a disproportionate price. [u]But eventually, we recognized our mistake, tried to atone for it as best we could, and acknowledged it in the record of history.
And the war on Islamo-Fascism (an evil that needs to be held to the same standards that eradicated Nazism and, for the most part, institutionalized Marxism) is a threat on a global scale. Most of our European neighbors have acknowledged this, and a few of them have decided it's time to play hardball.

I'm well aware of that, but the more muslims we allow in America, the more incidents we'll have like this one. We will never eliminate Islamic crazies, but doesn't it make sense to try to limit them as best as we can?
