Again, someone goes to court/trial to get put on the sex offender list. They can also appeal a lost court case to contest that decision.

How does someone get put on the no fly list or this newly proposed and ill-thought out "no buy" list? Secret FBI investigations? Someones neighbor reporting suspicious activity? Your local state/county representative just has it out for you? Who really knows. And how do you get off that list?

Fix that problem and the GOP will happily approve it.
Wahhh excuse me if I don't shed a tear because Ted Kennedy can't legally buy a firearm. Cry me a river.

So what if they make an occasional mistake, it is better they err on the side of caution. Mistakes can be corrected. When terrorists are allowed to buy guns and kill people that cannot be corrected.

You don't and that's why the bill didn't pass but the people bitching about it don't want to know that part of it, they just want to blame the people for not passing an unconstitutional bill.

there is no way to correct it unless someone like Obama or HRC wants you off of it for some reason.

Wow. So screw our rights. You think Ted Kennedy was the only one, and you think he didn't have some serious pull in getting taken off pretty quickly unlike the average citizen?

How about this, next time someone says something that the government doesn't like because it sounds scary, we put them on the "no speak" list so they no longer have freedom of speech, and we won't give them a way to get off the list either.

Anyone pushing back on this is obviously ignoring very simple facts in order to try and gain political points. All of our rights should be taken seriously and should not be subject to the ban list of the day like this.

You may not value YOUR liberty but I definitely value MINE. Fix the bill and we'll all be safer.

You have the right to defend Islamic crazies.

This is a great point.

Also, the shootings you have mentioned don't play into their trumped up xenophobic (no pun intended) outrage. They don't want to admit that more mass murders happen here as the result of extreme christian beliefs, or just plain old mentally ill people. I never hear any outrage over that, and people taking to the streets saying "Get these folks the help they need", or Ban All Christians, deport em all!!
