Wow, Kerr attacking an entire religion for what one person said. Doesn't seem fair.
Did you watch some of the Mormonism special on PBS? What did the Joseph Smith teach about black people? (Hint: It's something about their skin colour and the Devil.) Before 1978 black people couldn't enter the priesthood, which is needed for salvation. That year, the elders received a "revelation" that reversed the official prejudice against people of dark skin. One could say it was to make the church appeal to a broader range of people; another could simply say repentance.
Apparently this guy is still clinging on to beliefs that were taught to him in childhood and probably perceives the revelation as heresy from infiltrators.
Tell me if I recall this incorrectly or not, but I thought that in the bible it states that someone was punished and his skin was turned dark? So that wouldn't be just mormons would it?
I don't think he was either, he wouldn't be that stupid. But even if he did and was that stupid, a whole religion should not be casted as racists because of one persons comments. IMO
