Why are leftists against self determination? Why is the progressive left for corporate globalism?

Were the protesters at the G7 summits leftists or rightists?

Maybe they just oppose the regressive right's embrace of domestic corporate determination.

Regressive Left like their allies Islamists are totalitarian, controlling every aspect of a person's life.

We are not against either. We are against individuals exercising their freedoms at the expense of others. The rancher who insists on grazing his cattle on public land and ruining that environment for every body else for his profit. The individual who drives on public roads yet considers the taxes to pay for them an infringement on their rights of self determination.
We are not for corporate globalism, we just recognize that it exits and there is no way to stop it. Your kind want to take our country back to a time that only ever really existed in your mind. Remember corporations are people determined by conservative republican lawyers who brought the suit to the SCOTUS. there is no legal way to prevent them from taking their business elsewhere. We are progressive in our outlook. We recognize "what is" and attempt to deal with it in ways that will benefit and protect all of our society. The other side only see's what they wish it was and promise a vision with no real plan to get there.

Why is it called a strawman argument? So many questions to ponder.

Why are so many right wingers misinformed about "leftists"? One would think that they get all of their information from Rush Limbaugh and other RWNJ media.

Socialists believe they should control everything and everyone...doesn't matter if it's the Nationalist Socialists of Germany, Soviet Socialists, Chinese Socialists, or American Socialists....they know what's best and what's best is that they have control over everyone's life.

We do you all immediately start calling people racist and xenophobes anytime they vote against your causes? That's a legitimate question. As an ex liberal I know that the answer is that liberals feel that they are far smarter than the masses and therefore should decide every aspect of policy. Liberals at their core hate democratic government because most people want freedom.

I just think there is a lot of hypocrisy and dishonesty in their arguments.

When it comes to restricting guns, its "the peoples will" but when it comes to making a decision on what people think is best for the future of their country, a literal popular vote (ie "the will of the people") is suddenly somehow discouraging.

Cant have it both ways.
