It was NOT 3 OVERALL.
The 3 were from 1 particular part on the investigation and were NOT part of the original 30,000 emails.

It wasnt considered gross negligence,she was deemed to have in 3 cases made an error in judgement to the level of classification of the communication,at most she made a technical mistake. With 30K+ emails and multiple servers over the course of 5 years its not out of the realms of possibility she could use a wrong server on 3 occasions.
Trump and his minions seem to be making a big deal about it as its a convenient strawman for their continual smear campaign and character assassination of Hillary Clinton,like the Benghazi affair theres little substance to the issue..

These 3 cases were NOT part of the emals turned over to the state dept.
They were FOUND by the FBI by going through deleted emails and other means.
Hill supporters keep wanting to say these 3 were the ONLY ones when that is NOT the truth.
The specifics of that are not known because it's top secret. These types of secrets stay secret for decades, unless they have been hacked and are released by the hackers you won't know exactly what she was discussing for a very long time depending on the nature of the topic. It's entirely possible you will be dead after leading a long life before it's officially made public.

This is extremely sensitive information, SAP material in particular. That 's top secret and takes the additional step of compartmentalizing it on a need to know basis. There may only be handful of people with access or knowledge of that information. For example a Snowden with a top secret clearance would not have access to it. The President himself may not have direct knowledge or direct access to it, they do this in the event of extraordinary circumstances.
There was a question asked- on TV-- why would Hilly use a private server - why? and why it was used for so long and nobody questioned it? Not the Ethics committee in congress- the IT people - the security people?
It was questions by people on her staff, there was one email already released and the response was there will be no more discussions about he server.

This is the reason for the private server to begin with. The FBI was able to recover "several thousand" work related emails that were never turned over to state. They were able to do that by searching the government accounts of the people she was communicating with.
Any communications Clinton had with others outside of government accounts would be impossible to assess. Once she deletes in on her server the shelf life of that data is tenuous at best especially if someone is purposely trying to hide it. It may still be available on the other end to whoever is was sent to but there is no way to determine who that is or the existence of it. Even if you were able to determine who that is and the existence of that communication if the person on the other end of those communications is using the same setup as her and they delete and wipe the data it's gone.....
Clinton has sabotaged her own car. It's ironic but in her zeal to hide information she has most likely exposed it to the entire world. Time will tell.
