See those big suction cups that have foot and hand ledges for the climber to use? Similar type of hand/foot ledges would be used to climb 'The wall' on the Mexican border.
Only difference is instead of having suction cups, the hand/foot ledges would have spikes where they could be hammered into the wall then pulled out and reused over and over. It would be very easy to climb 'the wall' this way. Although rope ladders would also be an easy way to climb 'the wall'.
Both methods of climbing 'the wall' only require small devices that could be carried in a backpack and/or left outdoors for other climbers to reuse
