So what's so sacred about dogs nowadays? What makes dogs so much more equal than cows, pigs, chicken, rates, mosquitoes and cockroaches? Are they all living things?

Isn't that animal discrimination by giving certain animal special treatment?

Please keep in mind that you don't or don't want to eat dogs doesn't make eating dogs wrong or any less moral than eating any other animals.
We don't generally eat other carnivores. Mostly herbivores in terms of mammals. Pigs being the exception, but not every society likes pork. I don't care for it myself, except bacon.

This s generally true in all the apex predators. You don't see the lions hunting dingos. They are looking for zebra and gazelle. Grass eaters. Circle of life and nutrition.

Anyone who would consider it acceptable to kill and eat a creature capable of unconditional love is morally bankrupt not to mention deeply evil.

They taste terrible and there is no way to cook them that improves the taste. Knowing that I don't worry about any other reasons not to eat them.
If I'm starving everything is game. I pay $ 9.00 for 12 oz. to eat Buffalo or Bison because they are mad cow free and so am I. It's lean and better for me and I like the taste.

Negative. You won't find any common mention of eating dogs in early American history outside a Donner Party example.

Domesticated dogs hold a unique place in their relationship with man since the dawn of history in all civilizations.

Countless examples of dogs being man's best friend are common knowledge.
No other animal companion is equal.
Cultures that violate this law are inferior and should be shunned.

Are you OP among the disgusting?

Ok I'll bite, who are these people criticizing you for wanting to eat dog AND making it a moral dilemma?
Aside from a joke, it's never come up around me.

How does this go down? You're walking along with your buddies, you see a cocker spaniel and say out loud "Man, that would be some good eatin' with teriyaki sauce and noodles".

A thread is not an official C-D thread unless there is an insult to President Obama, no matter how unrelated to the topic.
