The UN also does things like feeding starving people, feeding war refugees, protecting children, making sure elections are fair, ex.ex.

And the only place/organization on the planet where all countries can meet to discuss the worlds problems is the UN. How could anyone want to abolish the only place on the planet where all countries can meet to discuss important issues?

You list things the UN is suppose to be doing but it seems they have not been very effective at any of those. Recent news of aid workers attacked in Sudan they made calls to local UN peacekeepers who were a few miles down the road nothing was done. It seems like UN peacekeepers never use their weapons just drive around and watch people get raped and killed.

We really do pay double. WE pay for the UN which is supposed to play world cop and we also pay 600 billion to maintain our military which plays world cop.
The UN is an elitist club paid for by tax dollars.
