With all these (mostly) African American athletes protesting the national anthem and street protests for alleged police brutality, I've noticed there may very well be more of a connection with the organization than what is publically discussed.
My understanding of this group is they convince their followers that their roots and heritage are from Africa and their true names and religion are that of Islam. I believe that's why some change their name; to reject their "Christian" name which were given by slave owners. They literally believe the white man is of the devil. So when protesting against police violence or America as a whole, they are protesting against a world which has been dominated by "white culture". Thoughts
Black folks certainly need to ditch the Christian faith, but I don't want them taking on the Islamic faith either.
As for the names, I mean...I've known some African Americans who've taken West African names (our mother region), but I don't know how practical that is. I'm fine with my European surname, but I have no relationship or affinity to it since its not my real name.
BLM however has nothing to do with the NOI, but even if they did...so what. That's their right.

Exchanging a Christian slave name for an Islamic slave name? Another unintentionally hilarious example of historical ignorance.
If it were radical islam, it would be VBM.....virgin boys matter. Cause that's probably what they'll get. I mean, who knows, yah can't ask someone. There is no frame of reference here.

The problem in the black neighborhoods, is there are many that do not value life, much less their own.
It would do a lot of good to reintroduce them to Christ. Because the Islam angle is just teaching hate and intolerance, with all the women looked at like hoes, from the black males.
That makes Fard no different than Muhammad, Paul or Moses...creators of religion outta thin air.
