Maybe the Republicans in Montana should form a new state and secede from Montana.

There is a growing discontent with the way Washington is governing and trying to exert more and more control over the people.

Americans, from all political persuasions, are beginning to voice this discontent in various ways - from resolutions like the one in Montana (and a number of other states) to the Tea Parties, to increase communications with Members of Congress. I think that the Poll numbers show this discontent - Americans don't like the way Congress is doing business - again, regardless of political viewpoints.

IMO, it is time - time for Americans to make the Congress do Americans bidding - not the other way around.

Rep. Robyn Driscoll, D-Billings, said such shots could lead to dangerous places.
This is the same person who floated HSUS-backed legislation that would have started Montana down the path to regulating dog breeders out of existence. Which is always one of the animal rights nuts' first moves toward destroying ALL animal agriculture. Fortunately, the MT legislature saw this out-of-state power grab for what it was, and defeated all 7 bills.

Well, what does that tell you? It sure says plenty to me, about how each party is aligned -- for the limited power of We The People's Government, or for the unlimited power of Big Federal Government, respectively.

“Buried in this resolution is the same confrontational language and ideals that the Freemen and Timothy McVeigh stood for,†she said. “This resolution sends us down a similar path as the Freemen.â€
Robyn is correct. Saber rattling, grandstanding, and hamming it up for the crowd can have very detrimental effects. The more posturing drama that continues, the greater risk the actual meaning will be lost in a circus of ego. Not good at all.

Yesterday it was Texas, today it's Montana. Step back a moment; this says volumes about what the FedGov is trying to do and whether or not they are stepping over their bounds of authority.

Alaska, and quite a few other states are taking these steps as well. Texas and Montana are really the only two that have had media coverage

The last two moderate democrats in MT were forced out... by their own party.. Go figure. Bunch of nuts trying to force their views on MT once again... College kids usually fall for it, but Montana College kids seem to grow out of it..

It will sure make a difference in the local elections. Robyn Driscoll needs to go back to the ship she sailed in on and go for a return trip for sure.

It's time for MT Dems to wake up and smell the stink of the feds.. Their money isn't that important... and da$#it I miss my gravel main roads anyway!

There are 21 states that have, or will have, enacted State Sovereignty legislation this year.
  • Alabama;
  • Alaska;
  • Arizona;
  • Arkansas;
  • California;
  • Colorado;
  • Georgia;
  • Hawaii;
  • Idaho;
  • Indiana;
  • Kansas;
  • Maine;
  • Michigan;
  • Missouri;
  • Montana;
  • Nevada;
  • New Hampshire;
  • Oklahoma;
  • Pennsylvania;
  • Texas; and
  • Washington.
Congress and the White House are completely out of control, enacted one unconstitutional law after another, and the States are fed up. They are taking measures to ensure that their constitutional rights are protected.

Glad to see that my home state of Colorado is on that list. Our state is very purple at the moment, with our Democrat lead state house doing some very strange stuff lately.
