It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they went out of business completely.

Just because OSHA says it is a safety hazard doesn't make it true.
OSHA is an entity unto itself - they make and enforce their own rules. Anyone who has dealt with them has never reached the point where OSHA is satisfied.

OSHA imposes an incredible paperwork burden on U.S. business. In 1994, seven of the top ten most frequent OSHA citations were related to paperwork. OSHA has perfected the government “make-work” scheme—generate a paper blizzard of regulations and then fine businesses for not complying.

Ashley Furniture is privately owned. The people who "speak out" against owner/CEO salaries obviously know little, other than how to spell Bernie Sanders' name.

I have no idea why a laborer would not want to loose fingers working with unsafe machinery.

I am guessing Labor day has no meaning to you.

They're moving to cheaper states. The workers should follow their jobs. If they sell their California homes they will find they can live much more cheaply in other states, can get homes for probably half the price and will do the happy dance when they see what their property taxes will be.

No, on both counts, but I am all for automating, especially in labor intensive, risky operations. This qualifies. No amputations to worry about. No worries about an ever expanding labor budget. A more competitive corporation.

If the wife comes home driving a new luxury vehicle you cannot afford the fact she also bought a diamond necklace does not make her vehicle purchase justifiable.

Selling and distributing Main stay products like furniture cannot not be related like flipping burgers. We do see a discount and Ashly fails to recognize the value of people with the passion to sell and Distribute Furniture Products.

Since the fires in California this year the Home building and Furniture so be going like "Hells Bells" the State need to do a better job in encouraging businesses to stay.

15.00 per hour is a great Starting wage and if you are in sales one should have commission plan. Every one has left money on the table here!

Anther Great Business that leaves California.

Just curious, you really think moving to follow a job that pays $8 an hour is worth the trouble?

That's a nothing wage in Colton. I'm shocked that they weren't paying it already.

Believe what you want. It's obvious you know nothing about business. You'll always blame the CEO's no matter what. But every job has a pay range that goes with it. Entry level positions are not $15/hr positions. As one learns more and increases their skill level, they move up and earn raises. That's how it works.

Right now, the minimum wage in California is $10/hr. That would be for an entry level position. That's almost $21K/yr. If your single, that isn't too bad, unless you're living beyond your means. You cannot expect an employer to pay you for the life style YOU want. It doesn't work that way.
