Whitney said she wanted to start a discussion about race, particularly why people of color have higher incarceration rates and lower college graduation rates.
“It is part of the oppression, the systemic oppression that continues on,” Whitney said.
The answer is simple. Get kids to stay in school and not follow the lure of gang-related drug money and the kids will stay out of prison.
There is no oppression. That is popular the term-of-the month. Kids have the opportunity to stay in school and be whatever they want to be. Nobody is telling them they can't and nobody is holding them back.
Saying you're oppressed is just another way of copping out and blaming everything on someone else.
Soooo When little Johny expresses an interest in the Civil War and wears his Tshirt that features a battle scene complete with both the union flag and the confederate one he will not be expelled?
He is only starting a discussion about American History.

I see nothing wrong with that.
Nor do I have a problem with teachers wearing BLM t-shirts.
My kids own Proud European American shirts...their teachers try that crap they will be wearing those to school
That's fine, too.
But really now, rather than engaging in a "Who can wear the more offensive t-shirt" war, why not just accept freedom of speech? That's kind of a major part of being American...theoretically.
My kid attends a local college. He came home yesterday telling one of the professors said that Trump, and this is a quote, "is a racist, bigoted, *******". And this is an English class and they weren't even discussing politics when the prof started to rant. This is what our kids are being fed theses days.
