Yes, but when the "rich" do that, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats charge they are "not paying 'their fair share.' " They refer to that as taking advantage of "loopholes." But they aren't "loopholes," they are part of the law, and many Democrats probably voted for those tax breaks that the "rich" take advantage of. But it makes good campaign rhetoric for the Democrats, so they keep using it. It gets the socialist base of the Democrat Pary stirred up, which translates to votes. That's why they do it.

For the first ten years of our marriage we always had to pay more at tax time (dual income - no kids). Then after we had kids, we qualified for the EITC.

How did the 47% comment work out for Romney? It didn't. Of course his base said it was smart of him to tell the "truth", but it sunk him really bad. We are seeing the same disconnect from reality from the Trumpies. Of course everything he says is golden, in their point of view only.

Can we talk about Hillary and her taxes? She "donated" 1,000,000 dollars to charity. Can you guess which charity she donated to? The Red Cross? The Humane Society? Doctors without borders? American Cancer society?

Nope. It went to The Clinton Foundation.
A foundation that spends 89% of it`s money on charity. Problem?

Should we count the jobs of people at funeral homes?

I'm pretty sure assassins work off the books.

Show me compelling evidence that Trump does not.

Even if he paid nothing it may be legal and you have no argument.

I have NOT mention Trump even once in my post.

The fact that I made a thread hinting that tax evasion is unpatriotic and you immediately think of Trump, is telling.

That is a very astute observation.

When Republican presidents/candidates cut taxes for corporations and the rich, they are essentially using tax dollar money to buy votes (and to get campaign money)

You are right, sir.

Time for you to catch up:

The Clinton Foundation's own documents show that they only spend about 10% of their money on actual charity...

The Clinton Foundation Only Spent 10 Percent On Charity In 2013

I always get a kick out of those who blindly pay taxes to a wasteful government, and call it patriotic. Sure I pay taxes, but also try to minimize them as much as possible.

I will also note that like everyone else, I believe in many things my tax dollars go for, and not others.
While we cannot pick and choose, I and many others are fed up with working hard, paying "our fair share", knowing many people (more every year) are not paying anything into the system, and like a leach, sucking out our life blood.
Illegal aliens are a perfect example, as they pay no federal income taxes, yet in this administrations infinite ignorance, they want them to get on Obamacare, in addition to food stamps, wic, and all the other freebies that cover housing, transportation, schooling, clothing, even friggin cel phones, internet, and cable TV.

If this country were run like a business instead of a charity, I'd feel a lot better about where my tax dollars go.
Sure there should be a safety net for the physically disabled and needy children. However even the common sense things Bill Clinton put into place on welfare reform, have been eviscerated by Obama, and is supported by Hillary.
Heck Hillary is essentially running against what he husband stood for, and should be called out for it!
