Does he realize what he's doing if he gives up the internet to international control? Other countries don't have free speech laws like in the US

Instead of giving up control of the internet it should be reigned in so the casual jihadist won't have access to the isis online news rag with the articles such as how to build a bomb in your kitchen.

but then again that would runafoul of someone toting free speech....

This thread title should actually be something like "US follows through on long-standing international commitment to relinquish sole control of ICANN".

I don't know what Obama realizes, but it's a safe bet that you don't realize that neither Obama nor the US own the internet and therefore cannot be "giving (it) up".

I heard nothing from the other inquiry - maybe you can tell me.

What is Obama giving them? I know DNS, ICANN... but what do they do?
