It seems that in these days the word "racist" is thrown around more so than ever. It appears to me it is being misused and interpreted incorrectly. So is there an epidemic of racism or do most people just have a prejudice towards someone or some thing? Here's My take:
Nazi Germany: Racist
KKK: Racist
Imperial Japan: Racist
Skin Heads: Racist
Vs
Not liking Hip Hop or Rap: prejudice
Not liking Sagging Pants: prejudice
Not liking the way someone speaks: prejudice
Not liking Muslims: prejudice
Not liking what country someone is from: prejudice
Not liking how someone conducts themselves: prejudice
Majority population using government power and social influence to peddle bigotry: racist
Minority population that can't use government power and social influence to peddle bigotry: prejudiced
Majority population using government power and social influence to peddle bigotry: racist
Minority population that can't use government power and social influence to peddle bigotry: prejudiced
Someone sticky this post on this forum, please. ^
Example:
Telling your daughter you don't want her dating _____ people = prejudice
Denying an entire race of people the same opportunities or creating extra obstacles/challenges for those same opportunities as the majority, solely based upon skin color = racism

Minority population that can't use government power and social influence to peddle bigotry: prejudiced
This is a definition that you pulled out of your (or really, some social justice professor's ass) to make a distinction where there isn't one.
The marriage of power and racism already has (and has HAD) a term: INSTITUTIONAL or STRUCTURAL racism. This is distinguished from just ORDINARY racism, which is when someone believes their race is better than another race.
When some random dirt poor old white biddy calls a black person the "N" word at the supermarket, her actions are no more devastating than some black idiot online starts ranting about white devils and the superiority of the melinated race.
Besides, does it REALLY make you feel better if your definition actually becomes the standard and new definition of "racist"? Like it's ANY BETTER to be "just prejudiced POC" vs. a "white racist."
9 times out of 10 things that are called "racist" have the same inter-personal effects as things that are "prejudice." I don't, for the life of me, understand why black people and "POC" go to such lengths and think they need to "educate" everyone on this non-existent distinction.
[Sidenote: everyone knows the best places on earth to be a minority is the WHITE western world. Not Africa. Not the Middle East, not Asia. Not Latin America. That's a fact that is backed up through empirical evidence. Unless someone can provide evidence to the contrary?]
"Racist" is the ignorant man's attempt to win a debate without presenting facts or logic.
"I don't know what to say to that. Oh yeah, I'll just throw out the race card."

Nazi Germany - big government crazy
KKK - activist arm of the Democrat party
Japan-Industrious and nationalistic
Skin Heads-Under-educated losers with a perchant for violence
Hip Hop - Ok at time, nothing worth spending a lot of money on IMO
Sagging pants - stupid part of a lower class uniform except for rappers
Opposite views - happen and if you don't like them then discuss your point of view
Muslims-Sharia is deadly to women, children, non-Muslims and gays
Behavior- your business, but how you behave may employ or keep you out of work
I haven't paid too much attention to Trump, but I've yet to hear him say anything racist.
Maybe he has, and I just don't know it, but nothing about having secure borders is racist.
I agree....securing a nations border is not racist. I have not heard him say anything "racist" either. Yet for some reason he is being categorized as one.
