When we'll wake up and elect an actual third party candidate and break this cycle of spiraling down I don't know. But Hillary would have been a far more likely disaster than Trump is.

He buddied up with Mexico while he was there, then came back bad mouthing them in the media. He turned on them. He has little self control, it is scary. He's a lunatic. I was embarrassed, but not like I am now. That was before Trump insulted basically everybody but white rednecks.
In several states Hispanics voted Republican MORE than for Romney. College educated whites voted for Trump. Even women didn't vote for Hillary as expected.
Perhaps people realized that Hillary and Tim Kaine were pandering to get votes?

Think of how many times people have accidentally shot their friends or loved ones, just because you own a gun doesn't mean you are suddenly a trained scout sniper or whatever
