They always make a big deal of the Presidential Pet. Remember Socks the Cat? Obama got a Portuguese Water Dog.

According to the Presidential Pet Museum, the Trumps don't currently have a pet. Does Donald Trump Have Any Pets? Nope! (Not Yet.)

I urge them to get a shelter dog or cat and set a positive example for America!

I'm thinking both a snake and a mongoose. He can name the snake Hillary.

I highly doubt the idea of him taking on a pet to fit some sort of public image is going to go over well with him.

Honestly, that's not a bad thing. President Trump keeps a very demanding work schedule, not a lot of time to give attention to a pet. And a pet should be part of a family, not a prop to trot out for photo ops. Unless he took his dog golfing, I can't imagine BO gave his pet a lot of attention.

If he does, will he name it after himself as Obama did with his dog - (BO)?

He already has a pet. It's on his head.

The hairpiece...doesn't that qualify as a pet? Seems to have a life of its own.

I have to disagree with this. It's a great idea for people to adopt shelter pets, but you want those people to actually care about the animal they are adopting. Somehow, I don't think that any of the Trumps would fall into that category.
