I'm tired of the garbage that had come out of the mouths if the extreme left and extreme right. Both sides are loony, crazy, messed up. In the primaries the Liberals were watching the GOP primaries and thought the Republicans were done as a party. Talk about eating Crow.

Both parties have major faults, creating harsh division in government which bleeds to create division among the citizens. It's not one or the other party that needs to be focused on as a fix, it's both parties agreeing to be on the same team for the people that would be the best for our country. Let's see if Trump can do this, because it was a major reason people believe in him. Draining the swamp equates to making Washington unified for the people.

I posted a thread about why Hillary ultimately lost. She betrayed the principles and values of her own party.

It's funny how people broadly characterize people like Hillary as a liberal but she is only a liberal in name. The campaign showed that she is as corrupt as they come, in cahoots with bankers and corporations. She thumbs her noses at labor unions and treated the working poor with contempt.

Despite this, it was a relatively close election especially in several states that turned against her and the democrats. But the dissent against her by those she spurned in blue collar states, as well as apathy from others, was enough for Donald to overcome.

The democratic party is a mess now. They sold their souls to undermine Bernie and trumpeted a candidate with so much stank. But again, it was a relatively close election and all those dissenting votes hurt her.

The radical leftists are only growing in number and are likely the future of the party.

The so-called "moderate Democrat" is extinct.

That party gave its soul to the fringe left a long time ago and it isn't going to the center anytime soon.

OWS and BLM, which is basically OWS under a different name has really infiltrated the democratic party.

These groups are so anti-american and so far left it is impossible to get behind them.

Makes it very hard for someone like me who believes in gay mariage, believes in a womans right to choose, believes in climate change, to get behind them.

Neither party gets it right for me these days...

Except that Hillary tried to run as a centrist right candidate and all that did was alienate the working class democrat who voted against her in some way. Bernie is far more leftist than Hillary, the DNC undermined him in favor of Hillary, and that got them nowhere.

So it's totally inaccurate to portray Hillary as a far left liberal socialist and that being the reason why she lost.

The soul of the Democrat party belongs to Bernie and the far left. That was true during the election and it is true now.

The only reason he didn't win was that the remains of the "moderate" wing of the party, led by Hillary, turned out to be a corrupt if not criminal syndicate that rigged everything so that its cronies including Hillary would win.

Honest moderates have no stomach for the extremism of the Bernie wing of the party. Being good people they have no stomach for the corruption and hubris of what the moderate wing turned into.

For all of the Republican Party's faults, we ran an honest primary and were smart enough to listen to what the people were saying.

I'm not being snarly.

Please tell me who and what is the fringe.

The parties are so mixed up i don't even know anymore. Neither fit what I think is good for the country. And both are controlled by their fringe.

IMO, a nation should not spend more than they take in, period. There are lots of things i would get rid of.

But, also a political party does not belong in a person's personal business. I think roe v wade should be legal up until 14 weeks and after if the mother or the child or in danger. All citizens have the same rights. I cannot deny marriage to somebody because i do not approve of their choices. The church can. Civil marriage is about legal partnership and inheritance. The church is about family.

Tell me where I got wrong. There is no political party that fits my needs.

The result of the last election has me really confused. IMO, all candidates should follow the same rules, set by the congress or the Constitution. I we get to see a candidates tax return and financial statement, we should get to see all. If we get to call out one for lying, can we ignore lies from the one we like?

Looks like half the population is as confused and ignorant as i am.
