I said during the primary I would much rather have Cruz as a replacement for Scalia than as president. Seems good old Lindsey Graham agrees with me. Other sitting congress critters name's being thrown up by people are Trey Gowdy and Mike Lee.

Lindsey Graham wants Donald Trump to take Ted Cruz out of the Senate, but wants him in the Supreme Court - Salon.com

He clerked for Justice Rehnquist. He served as associate deputy attorney general for the DOJ under Bush. He was the Texas Solicitor General and argued nine cases before the SCOTUS.

Whether the Senate would consent to that nomination is a whole different question.

just fyi - you do not have to be a native born American to be on the supreme court. So even Obama would be eligible!

Not sure about Ted Cruz, I don't think Trump can do anything with Ted Cruz after labeling him "Lying Ted". I think Ted brought it on himself and will have to simply accept his fate as the loser he now is.

As for Lindsey Graham, that sissified spineless piece of trash needs to be put out to pasture for the greater good. He is part of the old establishment and has nothing to offer the people.
