From what I can recall, in my very short time of being politics, Winter always seem to be a calm time. The weather and holidays just keep people off the streets and rioting. It seems these Anti Trump election riots have already calmed down. But I suppose they could spike up again when he actually takes office.

I know that MANY people are upset and angry right now, but whatever one's religion (or non-religion) is, I hope we can all just take a deep breath and remember that ALL people should try to live with each other in peace and harmony -- and especially during the holiday season.

As most of you reading this are probably Christian, I would just like to respectfully remind you that Jesus Christ would almost certainly not approve of all the violence and hatred going on now -- and, to emphasize, this applies to everyone who is saying hateful things about "the other side".
Most of those 'claiming' to be Christians on this board are hypocrites and do not behave in a 'Christian' manner at all. They just like to complain about what victims they are.

Jesus would have kicked Trump out of the temple for his hateful lying, insulting and mercenary tactics.

The upcoming holidays are not about religion. They are about commercialism.

Thing is, most of the "hateful things" are being said on the internet...Save a few overzealous protesters/supporters (of various political persuasions), we (as Americans) don't talk to each other. When I'm out, I'm on my phone...When I'm in, I'm on my laptop. The same is true of most Americans (primarily the younger generation).

That said, I do love Jesus (the ultimate revolutionary hero), and in that spirit I'd like to wish you (regardless of political leaning) a Happy Thanksgiving and (early) Merry Christmas. Hopefully, you don't take all this seriously as, in the grand-scheme of things, it's relatively insignificant.
