President Obama broke many promises, some even easy to fulfill promises. He told countless lies, shifted responsibility elsewhere, etc....

I would argue that most of the blame doesn't go to Obama, but rather his supporters that made every excuse, lied for Obama, etc... Obama knew that he could get away with it, because much of the media would look the other way just like his supporters.

Obama was largely an unsuccessful president as a direct consequence of his base of support refusing to hold him accountable.

I ultimately voted for Trump in part, because I believed that Republicans/Trump supporters would be more likely to hold Trump accountable than Hillary would be by Democrats.

You must hold Trump accountable if he starts to fail after he is sworn in. He may need to compromise here or there, but he must be held accountable. Holding him accountable is what is best for the country and the success of his presidency.

I plan on doing so. His First 100 Day agenda looks good. Let's hope that he can get it done.

If Trump ever wins reelection, it will be based on his competency, not his likability.

I'm quite pessimistic when it comes to Trump, so anything good will be a real win.

Yeah, the bar is set pretty low.

Best case scenario, he'll be a strong President with a broad domestic agenda like Dwight Eisenhower. Eisenhower wasn't much of an ideologue, and neither is Trump.

Obama tried to raise the min wage, give the middle class tax cuts, extend unemployment benefits, give small businesses tax cuts, lower student loan interest rates, lower credit card interest rates, and bring millions of jobs back to America by ending tax breaks for corporations that outsource jobs. But the supply side republicans stopped him from doing all those things.

Obama made European countries respect us again to the point they gave him the Nobel Peace Prize, Obama cut our deficits in 1/2, Obama presided over the biggest oil boom in US history, Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president in US history, and Obama lowered government spending more than any president in the last 60 years.

With everything Obama tried to do and everything Obama did clearly Obama is not a "largely unsuccessful president."

Republicans covered up GW Bush turning a balanced federal budget into huge deficits (and then blamed the deficits on Obama.)

Republicans covered up the Bush White House saying 935 lies about Iraq and killing 1,000's of US soldiers in Iraq (and then they attacked Hillary for lying and killing 4 Americans in Benghazi.)

True republicans will hide and ignore anything Trump does (and then attack the first democrat that comes into sight.)

Not as low as it could have been with Hillary.

Yes, anyone who actually cares about the truth ought to look into all the bills Democrats proposed that never saw the light in because pro-corporate GOP Senators blocked them

Now all of a sudden the GOp cares about American jobs?

To be accountable to the whole nation, he will have to abstain from doing most of the things he pledged to those who were misled enough to vote for him. The measure of his presidency, if in fact he chooses to serve it out, will be just that-------how few of his threats come to be. Actually they were threats, not pledges. Many who did business with him, learned that pledges from him were worthless. Those voting for him did not take that into account nor dozens of other bad marks on his record. As time passes and more and more of those duped by him realize what he's done, it will be very interesting to see how capable they are at admitting their mistake. What hope is there, if they don't learn from it? It's time to read again the old story, "The Emperor Has No Clothes".

Republicans #1 goal was to block Obama from day one. They had no intention of working with him. And how do you think supporters should hold the president accountable. Once president we can't do anything until his term is up. We have no say otherwise
