So I hear a lot of talk from people on here about how they're not racist. And I know and trust that the large majority of people who voted for Trump are not in fact racists.
But I assume you'd all agree that this woman is not one of those non-racists, right?
And this is a person in a public position, albeit a very low-level one... but still, to the extent these are the kinds of people elected and supported by the local community to carry out their public societal governing...makes you wonder how that can happen, right?
She has already of course said that she is not racist and didn't mean it that way, but come on... a black woman and ape in heels? How can you defend that?
Clay County Development Corp. director Pamela Ramsey Taylor made the post following Republican Donald Trump's election as president, saying: "It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I'm tired of seeing a Ape in heels."
Clay Mayor Beverly Whaling responded: "Just made my day Pam."
Probably posting again because the first one didn't say what the issue was in the title of the thread. This is a disgusting statement, and there's no sugar-coating it. Glad she was put on leave, and hopefully she gets fired. I would imagine many of the people who voted for her weren't aware she felt that way, but who knows? I couldn't tell you too much about my local officials other than what they've voted for (or not) while they were in office, and what they say they'll do if they haven't held office before.
Right Can't even call the First Lady an "Ape" without someone calling you a racist. Geez
That's right. I'll recommend the same challenge to you that I did in the post above.
