Police: 2 Iowa officers killed in 2 ambush-style attacks

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Two Des Moines area police officers were shot to death early Wednesday in ambush-style attacks while they were sitting in their patrol cars, and police are searching for suspects, authorities said.

The shootings follow a spate of police killings, including ambushes of officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Five officers were killed in Dallas on July 7 and three were killed later that month in Baton Rouge.

"There is a clear and present danger to police officers," Parizek said

These men were shot in two different locations in their police cars. Someone is executing them just for being police officers.

The anti-police rhetoric and violence by BLM and others must stop.

He's a white guy. Probably not inspired by BLM.

Seems the non-natives are getting restless. I wonder why these attacks are in the fly-over country and not on the "Liberal" coasts?

The shooter's skin color is irrelevant. Killing police officers in cold blood is relevant. Those anarchist groups promote violence against the police and inspire whackos to kill innocent officers. All of them.

He's just a creep who hates everybody. He's got videos of him carrying a confederate flag and giving the police a hard time. This one doesn't seem political to any one side, just a sociopathic hater.

Based on numbers alone, police are still less likely to die now than they were anytime before 2010, 2010 being the point the 21st century when officer deaths were at an all time low. That's right kiddos, under president Obama, the 21st century had it's lowest number of police officered being killed, and not under Bush, even though Obama is a Communist Muslim dictator who hates white people, Christians, and Americans and is a weak leader.

Jokes aside, yes, there have been several high profile targeted killings of police officers in a relatively short span, but statistically speaking, police officers are not in significantly more danger than they've been in in the last few years. And this point almost proves itself with the article, utilizing the tactic of narrative journalism (also known as fake journalism; but it does make money so WEEEEE), can only name two other incidents, both of which were loosely connected by ideology and happened within a month of the other. Then this event happens, which may very well have the same anti-police government distrust motives, but that's going to be the case with any targeted police, military, or political attack. Meaning the two aren't really related. As tragic as this event is, I'm not seeing some kind of epidemic. The numbers don't support it's existence.

Yet, that didn't stop you from blaming/bringing up BLM for this in your OP.

The shooter's skin color is irrelevant, because he isn't black or brown, which will be made obvious when this thread ends up being an afterthought in a day or two, unlike when a black guy ambushed and killed cops in Baton Rouge.

A White guy did this shooting, and you still want to pin this on BLM?
