What about when the conservative idiots in my state push for it, constantly? Why don't we just leave? Because most of us are normal people and recognize that it's a stupid idea.
Funny thing is when you look at a county election map you'll see that about half of California's counties voted for Trump, what happens when they decide not to leave the union? you gonna roll troops in and force them? What happens when the Feds decide to send in troops to protect them? You want to break away from the union, but how about if half your counties decide to break up the state? You OK with that?
You may need to rethink your grand plans.

They'd be overtaken in a day. No one to shoot their weapon for them.

Oh I read it hun, and the numbers in the article dont jive with actual government stats.
Take healthcare for example. 109 million Americans receive public health care of some kind. In order for California to account for 34% of 109 million, 37 million Californians 95% of the state population would need to be on public health care.
So...FAIL.
