Rarely in American history have presidents or presidents-elect intervened to pressure individual companies not to move jobs abroad. Had Obama sought to pressure Carrier not to move the jobs to Mexico, many conservatives would have undoubtedly attacked him for improperly intervening in the free market.

Ironic, or more like the greatest case of "bait and switch" ever pulled on the American people?
You have to understand that in the mind of a Trumpist, anything that Obama did was always bad; anything that Trump does is always good. There is no in between, it is always black and white. Otherwise their world begins to come apart at the seams.

They sure bashed him for bailing out the Auto industry and saving jobs though. Lets call what Trump did what it really is. Corporate welfare.

Yep. And unlike the Trumpkins, I don't blindly agree with a man I generally like and admire such as Obama. I was very angry with him when he bailed out the auto industry.

Angry for bailing out the auto industry?

I dare say all of American would have been a great deal more than "angry" had the auto industry been left to go bankrupt. You have no idea...

Or so it seems.

On the other hand..., maybe the NFL will do better under Trump...

Earlier this November, an NFL executive gave a fascinating, if bewildering, quote to Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman regarding the future of the nation’s most popular sports league under Donald Trump.

“Under President [Barack] Obama, the country was intellectual and looked at facts. I think that’s why our ratings fell,” said the anonymous executive. “People read a lot about our scandals or CTE and didn’t like what they saw. Under Trump, the country will care less about truth or facts. It’ll be [more raw] and brutal. Football will be more of an outlet. We’ll go back to liking our violent sports.”

On the campaign trail, Trump spoke out about his distaste for the NFL’s recent rule changes, made to prioritize safety and protect players from head injuries. In October, when a woman fainted at one of Trump’s rallies but returned after receiving medical attention, Trump declared, “That woman was out cold and now she’s coming back. See? We don’t go by these new, and very much softer, NFL rules. Concussion. Oh no! Got a little ding on the head. No, no, you can’t play for the rest of the season. Our people are tough.”

That difference between Obama and Trump fans, true or false? One really has to wonder...

I dont like the way Trump is going back on damn near EVERYTHING he has promised
It's a pity to see his supporters having been lied to, but they should have known what kind of person Trump is.

Like the hedge fund manager who laughed yesterday said "Trump conned them all"

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...d-billionaires

He could not be happier knowing party was back in Wall Street.

What an excellent analogy for this election.
Fact and truth-free indeed.
