Some people believe a lot of things that are not true, like the AGW hoax.

Nobody, least of all the government, should have the power to tell others what is fake news and what is factual news.

The sad thing is that they still haven't realized what happened. They are still defending their biased reporting.

Maybe I'm misconstruing things..BUT Opinions isn't considered news..BUT when those with the the political credentials who continue such opinions as "FACT" is another thing. There is a reason Fox News went to court when charged with spreading False News ~~ They claimed Fox was only "Entertainment" thus didn't claim to be repeating actual "True News".. SO since short term memory is a constant..MAny do not realize this history of Fox news..

Supreme Court FOX NEWS Entertainment Media NOT NEWShttp://www.democraticunderground.com/1251367354

In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.
Anyway, Just like in real life..WORDS HAVE CONSEQUENCE..and when opinion pieces get spread by supposed persons who repeat proven falsehoods to not just the Country Cities..but to the WORLD..I'm sure low-info and those who only listen to one type of news outlets ( media/TV or radio) then their consumption actually allows for them to only hear False Info and get indoctrinated by it.. Many, get manipulated to believe falsehoods....thus will eventually always believe that the debunking/proof of lies is WRONG!

It was bad enough in the pre-electronic circulation of info..BUT in 24/7 availability of such FALSE facts that get repeated as facts on blogs and via tweets..(even Trump and Flynn plus others) should raise Red Flags!!

Again..Words and the spreading of false informations that leads Citizens take proactive consequential actions because of it! Not only citizen gets held accountable but will eventually fall back on those people who perpetuate it in leadership and has legislative powers WILL indeed be held responsible. This goes way beyond being ignorant and given inaccurate info by laypeople..This goes directly to disseminating falsehood for personal gain..wether for $$ or power!!!

To be sure, there is such a thing as actual fake news: Made-up stories built to get Facebook traction before they can be debunked. But that’s not what’s really going on here.

What the left is trying to do is designate anything outside its ideological bubble as suspect on its face....

Funny thing is you accuse the left when it's the right wing nuts who have been doing it for years.Remember Ronnie Reagan "mis INFORMATION campaign"back when he was President???Of course not.
