I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but in the context of the current presidential election season, I found this old debate from 1969 between William Buckley (pre-eminent conservative intellectual who died today) and Noam Chomsky highly relevant. I happen to have this one on DVD and for those even remotely interested, it is an excellent watch. Matters not which side of the debate you fall on, it is always a joy to watch well articulated and thoughtful debate between preeminent thinkers of the day.
I'm not a big fan of Chomsky, but he really took Bill Buckley to the cleaners in this debate.
