History will be far kinder to the Obama administration than you think. Deservedly so.
He's not perfect, but no president is. He's a hell of an orator and a great statesman. That's also how history will perceive him.
History always does.
I tend to basically agree with you.. I don't think he'll be remembered as a great president.. Just.. A placeholder. Not great, not horrible.
he tried alot.. He was honest. He thought what he was doing was the right thing.. It didn't all pan out. Not much panned out.. Economy was basically stuck in neutral.. Stocks grew, but the common man was hurt.
But.. we didn't get involved in WW3.. The economy didn't tank.. He'll be remembered as the first black president..
It could have been worse. Could have been better, but could have been alot worse.

Trump? Who knows.
He's not starting out favorably.
A great orator? Mr. Umumaahhumbomma a great orator? He can passably read a teleprompter, but when he is asked a question and formulate his own reply he's a joke. And a great statesman? He has insulted and degraded many of our allies. While of course treating our enemies with adoration.
I didn't vote for him, but in '08 I wasn't unhappy that he won. I had high hopes that he would do a good job and as the first half-black president in history, leave with a good legacy. Sadly, such hasn't been the case. His biggest downfalls-he picks terrible, incompetent people to run his agencies, and he can't step up and take responsibility. And he lets racism cloud his judgement.
It's a little more complicated than that, but I admit that the government sold the TARP assets for less than the borrowed value. All told, that investment saved over 100b in tax revenue that would have been lost.
No it isn't. Once you knowingly push what you know is not true nothing else you have to say bears any relevance to anything.
You mean like The President Elect? I actually did not know that the sale of the auto assets resulted in a loss. When presented with the fax I conceded, because that is what reasonable, rational adults do.
