Very scary. I joked about the movie "Idiocracy" before but it sure seems like this is our immediate future. I did not think the American empire would decline this quickly.

Clearly you have been asleep for the last eight years.

You are proud of your ignorance? Of course the GOP and Trump want a dumbed down America. You are easier to control. You fall for their propaganda and don't realize it. Shaking my head at our downfall...
Do you not hear the voice of those who have not had one until Trump came along and gave them one ?

They don't agree with you and for good reason. Liberal policy's of the last eight years have been a total failure both domestically and in foreign policy. So have been the policy's of the GOP who did noting to solve immigration or the economy and gave Obama the budget to fund all they complained about.
Trump is the change agent and he is changing the GOP and the Democrats whether they like it or not. Until now there has never been a voice in leadership that wanted to put America first. Its long over due.

I can only come up blank. I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm being honest here. We clearly live in completely different worlds. I live in a competitive, capitalist, wealthy, booming area in California. I read on here that I apparently live in a socialist, nanny state where everyone gets every need taken care of for free. Those statements are just stupid and not worth the time I have now spent. Also, I don't get what you see in Trump besides him listening to you. I guess it doesn't matter to you and yours what he does after you elect him. I find that horrifying. You will suffer more than I will. California is the 5th largest economy in the world. That is bigger than Russia and France.

Seriously, Alabama or wherever you are is not going to do well under this administration. Yes, the Democrats should pay attention to you. But, not if that means de-humanizing Latinos, Muslims or the LGBT communities. If that is what it takes to get your vote, I say stuff it. You don't deserve our attention. Have a great weekend.

Using that legalized weed, I see.

P.S. It doesn't matter how big California's economy is, and it is big. It spends more than it makes, which, I assume since you live in a "competitive, capitalist" area, you'd recognize how that works.

Not yet. I don't like weed but I'll try it again in the future.

Have you studied the budget of California? Last I checked, it gets 47 cents back for every dollar sent to DC. Not sure what you are talking about???

That's interesting, last I checked they were bankrupt, but I guess DC enjoys that imaginary money they send to it.

Once that grenade hits the ground, I hope the grown-ups can put the pieces back together.

I'm not without concerns for where the country is heading. However, I don't see the cabinet appointments as a threat so much as a precursor to running the country like a business. Putting people in charge who know how to keep massive endeavors running smoothly. That doesn't mean I like these people. None of them are on my list to invite to Christmas dinner. And I'm for sure not on theirs.

They're dyed in the wool SOBs, every one. But, It's not a warm n fuzzy world we live in. Warm n fuzzy people are not suited to lead in it. So, I'm going to buckle up and ride it out. I agree it's no longer a left vs right issue. It's time to stop dividing into so many camps. It's not black vs white, gay vs straight, or any other such silliness either. It is SOOOO time to get past all that bilge.
