If you look at my previous post #20 you can see that the reign of the democrats and republicans really got the American people nothing over the last hundred years.
Now the powers that be are working to get rid of Medicare and Social Security, that is pretty pathetic. They also acted quickly to stop a presidential order to pay a person overtime up to 47K.
Based on what was listed in post #20, it's not the land of opportunity, it's the land of exploitation.
Why am I not surpised that nobody on this forum has a clue. Democratic Socialism is a movement within a democracy. Its goal is to transform a democratic state to a socialist state by democratic means, like a vote.
No country has ever experienced a wilfull change (by democratic means) from democracy to socialism and no country ever will.
No it did not happen in Cuba. Cuba went from a US-backed dictatorship to a socialist state via military coup.. There was zero democracy involved. Again, clueless.
This is what happens when you instal a puppet dictatorship and run the country like a casino....
Regarding posts 22 and 23. You guys just don't get it. If you look at post #20 you can see that our NATO partners have a minimum of 20 days vacation by law. No one is talking about seizing the means of production from the owners. We just want a better deal.
I've been told to leave the USA if I don't like the way things are here. Guess what. The Europeans don't want us there. When the morons who are happy in workers purgatory told me to leave, I told them to wake up and change.

Americans are the only people currently obsessed with "socialism". It's funny because they don't understand it, yet use the term very frequently (and incorrectly).
