The reality is they will enforce the laws and hire more people- the talk is ICE will got from its 5K+ to 20K people- but even that takes minimum of 2 yrs process. they can increase the man power slowly- but that's is a given that the congress approves the budget.

If you hire one person they must invest minimum $150K first year for insurance- basic training- and salary- then add the basic equipment and vehicles, housing (office)- the support staff- and then everything that agents spends on- paper pens etc etc - gasoline-

One thing I would do is a study on how many jobs done by illegals could be done by prisoners. All the seasonal farm work should be done by prisoners. There has to be many more.
