it's a valid question. He wrote a couple books for which he received a few million dollars. He pocketed at least $300k of his presidential salary each year... I supposed a bank of about 5 mill can sustain you for quite awhile.
I'm sure he made some "wise" stock market investments too - probably in some of the 'green energy' companied the Feds bank rolled.

Well, that part does makes sense. It's a 5-person family, and they'll need a couple of extra rooms for the Secret Service. 9 bedrooms seems on the high end, but not really excessive.
Not like ex presidents live like anyone average people know. Being an ex prez pretty much guarentees you going to be a millionaire on the speaking circuit.
