No, they will defend Trump at that time by saying "Those people in Chicago are never going to change". Just the way they defend every other Trump flaw.

We see the dailt death toll in places like chicago, detroit and newark but never get the details of the identity of those wounded or killed. The wounded with lifelong injuries is never tallied, just killed..
It's absolutely ridiculous to blame the seated POTUS for crimes in cities.. I mean absolutely absurd.
POlice commissioners oversee the police department and the mayor oversees the city. How crime is handled in each city/state depends on the governance of the mayor and the govenor - and police relationships to community and its success and failure lies at the feet of the police commissioners in charge of the force.
Would you be giving the President the same credit if crimes were down.. and not one murder was committeed.. NO. you woulnd't..
And.. btw.. crime rates are DOWN.. bu again. that's not on Obama either..
