What part of increases the debt 8.8 Trillion in 10 years makes sense? Good old republicans, spending wisely, living within their means.

Here's why the GOP budget plan sees a huge debt spike | Washington Examiner

An absolute disgrace. Are we surprised? Back in 2008 debates Rick Santorum got called out for hurraying conservative spending yet he voted to raise the budget 5 times. 5 times!!!! Pieces of garbage.

Semantics seems to be the only difference between the two parties. They both favor war, welfare, laws and taxes.

Thanks, I'd heard about this but couldn't find a good online resource.

That would be a lot less deficit than under Obama.

At least he had to deal with a crash. Why am I stuck with being punched in the face twice vs three times? Those are my choices? Why?

But it is time to stop pointing fingers. It is time to stop screaming that the sequester would kill people.

Republicans have total control. It is time to put forward a plan.

-FY 2016 added 1.42 Trillion to the national debt.

-We are at historically low interest rates with a shorter average of bond duration, meaning a return to interest rates of the early 2000s or 1990s could spike the deficit and accelerate debt growth.

-Current programs will start spending more under current law and accelerate debt growth.

Obama and this GOP congress have us on a path to debt acceleration as a FACT.

The Republicans will now control all 3. No excuses, be the adult, if the Democrats scream bloody murder when you balance the budget you need to take the facts to the people. You also need to compromise a bit with democrats (taxes on the rich) so they don't scream irrationally like they did over the mild sequester.

What is your plan, punch the people with more money than you in the face as you raise their taxes?

Nobody is going to like the solution for dealing with our debt problem. Raise taxes on everybody, and cut spending.

Let's start with eliminating the home mortgage interest deduction. Why is it so critical that be deductible?
