What bothers me is the response of chicago law enforcement

I can agree with that. Charge them with hate crimes and attempted murder. One thing I hope doesn't happen is that the haters will come with the intention of venting their own hatred. Already have enough hatred in the world for one lifetime.
From what I heard on the news they held him for 24 hours so it looks like kidnapping may be the most serous charge.
We got a good look at where the anti Trump people are coming from and why they cost Hillary the election. If this keeps up, Trump can have three or four terms if he wants them, his age being the only factor.
No, you're not as bad as Roof, but you have shown you have potential to be. But how can you compare a guy who sat in a church and prayed with people, then killed nine and wounded three others, to what these people did? It's bad, they need to go to jail, but I wouldn't be wanting them executed for it. They at least stopped short of killing the guy.
You don't think torturing this poor dude while seeming to really enjoy it, doesn't show that these silly, fun-loving youths are showing the potential to be as bad or worse than Roof?
Nah since they didn;t kill him, I'm guessing it was just a harmless prank, and that guy (as well as most of those outraged by this) has zero sense of humor. Let them go, no harm no foul
Blacks have suffered plenty at the hands of whites, the least we should do is let them a some payback for being oppressed. Everyone is making too big a deal out of this-it was most likely a joke that was misinterpreted. Let them go-after all, whites have done way worse.
