Then if you get sick for 18 months you go thru all your Medicare and life's savings (including the house, cars, stocks...all assets) before being put on Medicaid.
No you don't. You go to a financial guy that transfers everything to the kids.

Then you die in a nursing home.
Don't forget to vote folks! And God bless America!
From what I am hearing from the GOP side thats one of the things they won't touch.
Prices plan has a nice one yo will like. If you lose your job, and can't pay the 1,000 or so a month for insurance, when you get back on the price of your insurance will go up 50% for 18 months.
Its funny,....you don't like Obamacare...until you realize that without it you will lose your healthcare. thats hilarious.
Millions lost their health care WITH Obamacare. That was one of the lies. "If you like your plan, you can keep it." Well, guess what? They couldn't. Secondly, with Obamacare millions can't afford it. Premiums are ridiculous, and so are the deductibles.
As for "pre-existing" conditions: Insurance was never intended to cover something that has already happened. Think about how ridiculous that is. That is one of the reasons Obamacare is so expensive. You can't "insure" against something that is already a fact. Unless you charge "through the nose." And who pays for that? Everyone else!
...select the HI Fund, then select "GO" to see the data.
As everyone can plainly see, the HI Payroll Tax does not adequately fund Medicare.
The first order of business would be to increase the HI Payroll Tax to meet current obligations.
The new HI Payroll Tax Rate would need to be 7.2% -- 3.6% each for employer and employee to generate $646.2 Billion in payroll taxes.
Tripling the HI Payroll tax from 7.2% to 21.6% --- 10.8% each for employer and employee would generate $1.938 TRILLION which is only 60% of the $3.2 TRILLION the US spent on healthcare in 2015.

NHE grew 5.8% to $3.2 trillion in 2015, or $9,990 per person, and accounted for 17.8% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The reality is the HI Payroll Tax would have to about 12% for employer and employee.
Lest anyone forget, Medicare only covers 80% of the costs, so the remaining 20% would have to paid by the insured, which must be factored into to total annual costs for families/individuals.
$10,345 per person: U.S. health care spending reaches new peak
With a median income of $56,516 per household, a 12% HI Payroll Tax would be $6781, plus a deductible of at least $8,276 (for four people) totaling $15,057 annually.
On top of that, you'd end up having to purchase health plan coverage to cover the things not covered by Medicare:
All of these things cost something and we were NOT paying for them. I support UHC BUT as importantly I support paying for it and in part, paying for it by ending the middle man.
Couldn't rep you again, but you got it! Yes, eliminate the middleman because that is where the bulk of money is going!!! Ah, but, that middleman is filling the politicians pockets with cash in order to remain in the middle.
To hell it aint when you don't have it. "You haven't met your deductible yet, we will need $350 today".
Off to the E.R.
That hadn't changed either. Much of it if not many or most of the Obamacare claims were completely bogus. Obamacare was created on the back of lies after lie. It's why it's not going to survive. Will that harm some? It likely will. Those who lied constantly should have thought about that.
LOL. You really care about this stuff dont you? Then try and understand it. Republicans started by promising all the good stuff, without any of the bad.
Take a look at the Price plan. probably deserves its own thread to be honest. ALL of the Republican plans are so much worse. Prices is the one most likely to be attempted by the GOP. Keep in mind-they repealed it, and are now 100% dependant on the Democrats to pass it. But lets say they get what they want.

Now wait just a bloody second. You know how something can become a pre-existing condition? You lose your job and the associated employer-provided health care plan. Boom.

The first thing I understand. I dont give a *%$# about the Republicans. I do not give a *%$# about the Democrats. The only thing I care about is seeing as a country that everyone can see a doctor when they get sick.
*%$# this partisan $&!*.

Go read that and think it through. Especially the parts where they gut the business deductions for providing healthcare
They very well MIGHT be worse. They are only able to control things because Obamacare sucked and was nothing more than a huge give away to the insurance and pharmaceutical companies.
