No, I don't think you realize that we disagree. There is absolutely no need for feminism any longer, it's stupid and pointless, even if you take out all the whacked out weirdos who have pushed it to a whole other level.

Sadly this is untrue as long as we have male politicians in Congress who make decisions relating to birth control and abortions for women, among other issues still prevalent; like the much higher male against female than female against male rate of violence/homicides and the fact that there are slightly more women than men in the country yet the current Congress (you know, those who are supposed to represent the country) is over 80% male - and it's the most diverse Congress yet.

We still have work to do.

Really, because it seems like a lot of politicians seem to care a whole lot about with what women are doing in their bedrooms, how they handle their periods and how they handle family planning. Need I remind you pro-choice is about to be no-choice with small government republicans jumping in to set up all sorts of regulations on women's reproduction.

Someone's reproduction is their own issue and it's up to them to decide how to handle it. You can't force people to pay for something and then tell them they have no say in it, that's just common sense. If you don't like it, buy your own birth control like most people.

Legislators are being forced to pay for birth control? Do explain this one.

No, apparently it's up for the government to decide.

Can't force people to pay for something then tell them they have no say in it? Really? Do you know how taxes work and what your tax dollars go to? You fully support all of those causes?

I have no problem with people buying their own birth control. I have a problem with the government meddling in these matters in the first place. They are women's health issues, not government issues.

Yeah and I disagree with it, I don't think people should be forced to pay for abortions with their tax dollars.

I doesn't seem like you get it at all. My reproductive "issues" should be in my own hands. Random legislators should not determine which options I have access to because they don't like them.

This isn't about paying for birth control it is about access to birth control. Why shouldn't insurance plans cover birth control. Women have all sorts of reasons for using it out side of preventing pregnancy. Some people have really severe periods that need hormone therapy to be reined in.

Insurance plans cover drugs for erectile dysfunction - which is probably more annoying than dangerous. But asking for some basic birth control pills is a ridiculous ask. Just wow.

So you're telling me when planned parenthood gets money to use on other things it doesn't make it easier for them to pay for their abortions?
