WTF. Whether I liked him or not, this makes little political sense.

Obama as president had more criminal crackdowns on leaks than any other president before him. And now in his waning moments he does this. The potential dangers these people could have caused.

The only thought that comes to my mind is he's mucking up the waters for Trump. I can't think of any other reason for him to do this.

Mannings detention has not been like any civilians. lots of solitary, and abuse bad enough that the UN has called us out on it.

Obama did keep referring to Manning as a she when it was a he doing the treasonous acts ... it should be hanged period.

Manning sentence was commuted. She was not pardoned. The conviction stands and she has served 7 years.

Obama has released more terrorist and traitors than all other presidents combined. Anyone surprised? He does put American's last.

Some think its a ploy to get at Assange to get him to return or to at least discredit him. Yeah, Assange has them that rattled. Or they want better access to Manning and this was the only way. Whoever gave the order, this was way above Obama, he's just the dingus who signs what they put in front of him. Obama doing something nice for somebody with nothing to gain for himself... it doesn't happen.
They'd put bullets in every leaker if they could and have done it at least once.
